Well, as first I would like to say I'm happy you have started the discussion and you participate even in the discussion about bluegrass (slovak).This discussion if here for you, to let you say your opinion and for to have the opportunity to say you like, or you don't. There is no censure. Believe me, if I say that this discussion read even the high situated people they can influence a lot of things.

I've got the message from 29 strings from Pezinok. They write their basist is leaving because of Military Service, so they will look for new one.

Stano Valach from Tieň wrote, he will sometimes send me some new scanned tabs and MIDI files. Everything you will find here. There is a lot of work and I acknowledge I don't smite everything to edit and immediately add to archive. But every dey is there something new in the archive.

I'm sad that I don't know nothing about the bluegrass workshop 99, but I'm not able to catch Robin Nemeth from Kosice. I sent him at least 15 messages. If he will write me I will tell you.

The same thing is with Strunobranie 99. Dasa Ocenasova from ONC promised to send me some infos, but till today I didn't get anything. According to the unofficial infos Dasa didn't instruct herself ant Strunobranie will again také part at the same time as Banjo Jamboree in Kopidlno and much more band will go there, not to Banska Stiavnica. It's shame, because Strunobranie is good event.

I was asked whether I put the history of BG Albumu on this site. The argument was that BG Album was " a kind of bluegrass legend, which should has its place somewhere here". I didn't think of that, because BG album has its own web site, but maybe I will write the memories of BG Album and I put it here. However I think about something like Hall of Fame of the bands, where will be placed the band they the most influenced the bluegrass development in Slovakia, even if they already don't exist. I think the bans as Krok, Zrnko, Cervici or others similar deserved it. And as well the celebrities - musicians or not - which did a lot for slovak bluegrass. It's the theme of discussion. What about your opinion?

I want to say something more to the Top Ten Zvonky and Zvonky Award '99 Both of them was buildt as the information survey, but the most because I think that the best way of the popularity of the band, or the song is the listener. A lot of surveys are made-up, influenced by media, market, or some special desires of the people in the business. That's the way how does it work in our country, as well as in the whole world. The chart in the surveys is often different than the real popularity of the bands or songs. I remember the surveys of the some anonymous journals or even the charts and awards in slovak country and bluegrass scene , where the award was given to somebody who had a friend in the committee, or he/she didn't get any awards yet. In Zvonky you will decide about the popularity, but not the friendships with the editor-in-chief. I opened it, and you will build it. It is up to you, to let it be empty or not. I remind if it will be really good the results will become the official slovak BLUEGRASS AWARD and TOP TEN and these results will be published.

This month should be reedited CD of Lubos Malina and Druha Trava "Piece of cake" with the vocal of Peter Rowan under the Compass Records. As well the CD of Peter Rowan and Druha trava shoud be issued.

Sú 2 hodiny ráno a ja po prvýkrát píšem doma Zvonky aby som ešte stihol hneď ráno poslať na server tieto stránky. V podstate mám len zopár informácií o tejto site. Ad jedna, už sú tu nejaké texty a pribudol profil Tieňa . V blízkej dobe pribudne aj profil Veget bandu.

Ak o tom ešte neviete tak DOBRO FEST 1999 , sa koná 24.8. - 29.8. v Trnave. Je to VIII ročník ktorý sa nesie v duchu 70. výročia od podania žiadosti Dopyerovcov o americký patent na dobro. Pri tejto príležitosti sa uskutoční v Trnave ojedinelý projekt v celej Európe - otvorenie triedy "dobra" J.Dopyeru s názvom "Škola Dobra" pri Základnej umeleckej škole v Trnave. Aj tento rok budú scény patriť nielen slovenským a českým kapelám, ale aj svetovej špičke. Pozvanie potvrdil Jerry Douglas , Roy Mack McNees, Mike Dowling z USA, Dave Peabody z Anglicka, Gypsy Dave Smith z Austrálie, Lionel Wendling and Honky Cats z Francúzka, Shady Mix z Nemecka a samozrejme k nim pribudnú dalšie mená. A  jedna novinka čo je malou bombou. Ak poznáte kapelu Grunt z Nitry, iste poznáte aj jej banjistu Milana Obucha, majiteľa najlepšieho banja, aké som kedy držal v ruke. Ale to nie je všetko. Tento "pán" je okrem iného viac ako doma aj čo sa týka klávesnice počítača a internetovskej siete. Neviem či z vlastnej iniciatívy, alebo na moju urgenciu ešte spred dvoch rokov v Trnave, si zaregistroval a sprevádzkoval vlastnú doménu pod názvom BLUEGRASS.SK . Takže na slovenskom webe už bluegrassováci majú svoj bluegrassový server. Zatiaľ tam nič ešte nie je (po spustení sa vám vypíše iba slovíčko "Test"), ale bude tam toho dosť. Už je napríklad isté, že sa tam v čo najkratšom čase sťahujú Zvonky s celým archívom (ktorý tu bude rásť a rásť) a časom tam hádam nájdu domov aj  home pages slovenských kapiel a kadečo iné čo s bluegrassom súvisí. A na záver, že z toho vyplýva, že ten treti, čo sa podieľa na Zvonkoch, je práve Milan (jeho fotku a pokec sem pridám hneď ako mi to dodá).

Inak už prišli nejaké reakcie na Zvonky Award' 99. Na stránke Anketa môžete nájsť priebežnú tabuľku s počtom hlasov. Pripomínam, že ak uvediete svoj mail, nebude samozrejme zverejnený, ak o to priamo nepožiadate (to sa týka akéhokoľvek údaja o vás aj v iných formulároch). Ak áno, tak bude pridaný do zoznamu Kapely a kontakty v časti Fandovia kde sú fandovia alebo aj muzikanti, čo chcú do placu hodiť na seba kontakt (mail a vlastnú web stránku - ak majú). Na to slúži registrácia . Každý zaregistrovaný, okrem toho, že sprístupní na seba kontakt, bude prednostne informovaný o dôležitých novinkách a časom možno aj viac. Mail musi byť ale funkčný. Inak sa neuzná ani hlas. Ak teda nemáte mail, radšej si ho nevymýšľajte, alebo si ho zadarmo vytvorte na niektorej z mnohých domén (Pobox.sk ,Seznam.cz ,Yahooo.com a pod.). Preto som sa rozhodol dva hlasy neuznať keďže mail bol očividne vymyslený, alebo nefunkčný. Ak chcete aby váš hlas bol uznaný, vyplňte formulár ešte raz, ale s funkčným mailom.
Čo sa týka mien v ankete. Uprednostním muzikantov a kapely zo Slovenska. Ak si však myslíte, že v danej kategórii na Slovensku nie je nikto, komu by ste dali svoj hlas, môžete tam vpísať aj muzikanta či kapelu z Čiech. Nie však z iného zahraničia. Nedávajte hlas CDčku, ktoré nevyšlo tento rok a rovnako ani koncertu, sheetu a ostatnému, čo je viazané na rok. Anketa má názov ZVONKY AWARD 1999 - týka sa teda tohoto roka. Kategórie muzikant, kapela, skladba a pod. sa to týka tiež. Teda dajte hlas muzikantovi,  kapele, alebo skladbe, ktorá sa vám páčila tento rok (ak máte takú, čo sa vam páči, alebo páčila každý rok tak môžete aj jej). Čo sa týka objavu roka, mala by to byť kapela skôr začínajúca ako ostrieľaná. A na koniec, pochopiteľne, že hlasovať môžu aj muzikanti a samotné kapely.
 
 

A na záver tu mám ešte jedno špeciálne poďakovanie. Chcem sa poďakovať skupine 29 strings za ich texty, ktoré mi poskytli a hlavne Braňovi Zvolenskému za 200 textov z jeho archívu čo mi poslal, a vďaka ktorým nemám v práci čas pracovať. Keď si predstavím, že ma čaká ešte rovnaké množstvo z môjho súkromného archívu a asi 180 tabulatúr, tak sa mám na čo tešiť.

Iĺm sure you have found this site in new design. It was prepared already long ago within the change of focusing of this site { because of the visitors}. Consequently here will be a lot of new e.g. archive of the lyrics, notes, tabs and maybe some music software. I will or we will build it consequently and I hope with your help. So, if you have got something, what is good enough for this site, what should be here presented by the different way, or something that should be here, but still is not, donĺt hesitate and mail me { even on that old site of this magazine}. The same way, when you had made the old Zvonky, even this site is made mainly by you. You cannot fin here something that you wonĺt send me {only if I find it by myself}. So bands, musicians, pickers and bluegrassmen if you want everyone to have the contact to you without sending your business cards  to everybody especially, send your contact here and everybody surfing the net will fin it here. This site you can find on all main searchers if you type the keyword bluegrass including Yahoo,  Altavista , even if you type Slovakia { after the ending of the English version of this site. BTW reference to this site, well, almost whole site like this is to find even in Czech net}.
The same cause if when you own the club where the bluegrass music is played and if you want everybody to know it, who and  when play there, or if you want the bands to contact you, let them know about yourself.
If you organize the festival thatĺs the same. If you have your own tabs, lyrics, songs, be sure here youĺll find the place for them.
If you cannot find something, you want to say something to the public, this is quite good place to do it. And absolutely super is if you send me the profile of your band, some notes to your CD, your concert or something youĺve translated something from other language. It is up to you. The visiting of more than 100 visitors is the argument the people go here and they read these pages.

There was made one new cooperation. We agree with Music.s k for the cooperation so far on the platform of changing of the infos, messages and databases. Music.sk is not only the server, but cooperate with some media and editorships. So this cooperation could be fruitful and effective for both sides.

South Czech bluegrass band Pergamen has got his album with the name "Blbej den" { Bad day}. Pergamen plays in configuration  Vaclav Vachta - banjo, Milaná Jedlihka -mandolmna, Petr )imek - gitara, Frantisek Langman - dobro a Petr Zboril - kontrabas.

As I read in BG Sheets at the end of the July  1999 there will be in Europe the band The Dillards. Their agency http://www.gallagher-assoc.com   looks for organizators. For this time from the czech bluegrass scene. I thing I missed something from the BG happening in Czech republic. That is true I didnĺt visit the czech net for long time. I got the tip to interesting site TRHAČ . And after I saw it I didnĺt understand. Anyway I recommend it. It is the site about the czech scene from different { maybe real} point of view.  Aout the site tells you some crazy pages like the comix about Peter Brandejs called  "Association in danger".

BTW one week passed and I hoped there will be some more people they would contact me with their news. Donĺt you have anything, what you would like to tell to other people? Or in Slovakia is nothing happen?
